Bluesky is a decentralized social app created by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.
Its main features include:

Bluesky is built on the AT protocol, an open source framework that allows anyone to see how the underlying workings of the platform work. It also introduces a “custom feed” feature. The app supports web, iOS and Android platforms, and users can access it through a total page browser or the corresponding app. Users can create profiles, share short posts (up to 300 characters), pictures, videos and other content on it, and reply, forward, like and other actions.

However, as of December 23, 2023, Bluesky’s posts can now be read without login, either through the web version or through a Bluesky-compatible app. However, the third-party app may not fully meet certain setting requirements. In addition, Bluesky is also constantly exploring and addressing Trust and Safety issues such as bad actors, harassment, email spam, fake accounts, video security, and has taken a series of measures in content moderation, account management, etc.
For example, it will automatically detect fake, fraudulent or email spam accounts; develop tools to detect multiple new accounts created and managed by the same person to reduce harassment; scan listings with abusive names or descriptions to reduce harassment, etc. It also plans to allow free speech while complying with local laws, using region-specific tags to hide parts of content to comply with legal requirements, etc.
